Alison Krauss
The first surge of public recognition was for bluegrass fiddler Alison Krauss in 1990 when at age 19 years old, she was able to walk away at her first Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. This was an incredible feat in many ways, not just because Krauss was young, but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her album collection. Too Late to Cry was her debut album that was released in age 16. Champaign Illinois born artist's age 16. She had already signed to Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk labels when she was just 14. Her achievements even at a young age, and as well as her skill, were consistently recognized by the fact that she's maintained her devotion to bluegrass, one of the oldest and least well-known musical genres. Krauss was a mature musician and producer, having gained experience from her time as a teenager star.
