Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, the CNN's "New Day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. In her three decades in the field of journalism, Camerota has covered stories worldwide and nationally, earning one Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage on the arrest by Roger Stone, and the most prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her breaking news coverage of Hurricane Maria's impact on Puerto Rico. There are other board of trustees' transitions, Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford is named an honorary trustee after serving as a trustee since 2007 and Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been elected chair of the board after serving on the board since 2013. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who has been chairman of the board since 2015. The board chair continues to serve on the board beginning in 2006. There there are 26 trustees on the board at The Playhouse.
